Our Story

Browns Valley Meat has been serving Napa since 2002. As part of Browns Valley Market since 1980, the Giovannoni family has built a reputation based on quality and customer service.

In 2002, Jerry and Jeanne Giovannoni left the Market to own and operate Browns Valley Meat full-time. All five of our children have worked with us at some time, making this a truly family operation.

Son, Joe, and daughter, Laura, currently work in the family business in all aspects. The rest of our “family,” the staff at Browns Valley Meat, have been with us many years and have been trained in all aspects of retail meat cutting and customer service.

Browns Valley Market was opened in 1980

The grocery store was built on the family property in which Jerry and his seven brothers and sisters were raised. In the late 1970’s, Jerry’s father, Larry, went door to door throughout the Browns Valley neighborhood describing his plan for a local market.

Browns Valley Meat is a big supporter of local 4-H and FFA programs, as well as, many local charities, fundraisers and school programs.

We are known throughout the Napa Valley for high-quality meats, poultry, seafood, and our selection of fresh and smoked sausages. We also offer custom processing of wild game and ranch raised animals.
